Get Ready to Roll
A tactic called relational organizing was instrumental in the election of President Barack Obama. It’s a formal name for a simple, direct, effective action that involves reaching out to friends and acquaintances to make a plan to vote and volunteer.
Reach out via phone, text, or email, whatever method you think will work best.
We have created an easy-to-use action kit that will help you create and execute your plan. We connect you with training, identify the key states, and provide you with plenty of information on guiding people to volunteer. Click the blue button below.
Also, please save the date: Monday, Oct. 19, 7 p.m. EDT, for the kickoff of Together for 2020’s own drive to promote this highly effective effort. Next week’s Wave of the Week will include more details.
LIFT ALL BOATS
Rev. Raphael Warnock & Jon Ossoff for Georgia
It’s a genuine two-fer. Meet two fine candidates who can help flip Georgia at this Force Multiplier event. Both Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate are running stronger and stronger as the election nears.
The Rev. Raphael Warnock is the inspiring senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, once the pulpit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He is running in a special election in a crowded field. Recent polls show Warnock has the best chance of beating Republican Kelly Loeffler, pariah of the WNBA for her work against transgender athletes and Black Lives Matter.
Jon Ossoff, investigative journalist and media executive, has been endorsed by the late great John Lewis and the Georgia State Legislative Black Caucus. He is running against single-term Republican Sen. David Perdue, who is showing electoral vulnerability.
Support for Jon Ossoff and the Rev. Warnock will also help Democrats up and down the ballots in a state that has competitive races for the White House, the House of Representatives, and the state legislature.
