Take Action: Text
Texting is a great way for activist volunteers to communicate with voters, especially in this time of COVID-19 in which in-person canvassing is not an option. Texting has been shown to be efficient and effective in increasing voter turnout. There are several texting organizations and different platforms. We have Action Kits to get you started with multiple modes of training including do it yourself, one-on-one sessions and regularly scheduled sessions. Check out the calendar for events being hosted, such as training and text banking (e.g., Acton Area Indivisible, Greater Andover Indivisible). Most events are virtual – you just need your phone, tablet or laptop. If you are new to texting activism, be sure to check out the Texting Overview Guide for general information about how it works.
