In terms of Senate races, Joni Ernst’s (R-Iowa) approval rating fell from 57% in February 2019 to 47% in March 2020. Ernst is a key target in the Democrat’s quest to flip the Senate.

There are three key House races in 2020. Two of these flipped in 2018 - IA01 (Abby Finkenauer) and IA03 (Cindy Axne). IA 02 now has an open seat.
