Introducing T2020’s Newest Partner: Movement Voter Project

commentNo Comments

Movement Voter Project (MVP) works to help build a progressive movement in the U.S. to win in November and beyond.  We accomplish this by connecting and advising donors — big and small – with the best local community-based organizations in key states, with a focus on Communities of Color and youth.  MVP’s unique strategy raises up hundreds of incredible groups that organize their communities to grow their power, and ultimately engage, register, and turn out voters as well.  The MVP mission is to provide the resources so that these local partner groups can be successful in their organizing.  MVP believes that supporting them with funds and technical assistance is the most effective and cost-effective way to win in 2020 and transform our country. In profiling several MVP youth-led partner organizations, this July 8th NY Times opinion piece, “How Democrats Can Win the Youth Vote in November”, underscore the effectiveness of the MPV strategy and our “investment” in these grassroots groups.

In Eastern Massachusetts, we have an active MVP volunteer team organizing virtual house parties to inform our networks of this essential grassroots work. More than anything, MVP partner organizations need us to raise funds they need to thrive. We have raised over $2M so far this election cycle, but the need is still great.

To learn more, or if you want to help, please come to one of our upcoming virtual House Parties (they last about an hour) to hear the full story.  All are welcome!

Only have two minutes right now, but are ready to be blown away by the power and bravery of grassroots organizers? LIT, one group of youth organizers MVP supports in Wisconsin, made this video on “Organizing During a Pandemic.”  For a broader view of MVP’s strategy, try this quick video about our Big 5 Battleground Fund targeted at the states most likely to swing the Presidential election.  Ready to make a donation now?  Consider our Black-Led Organizing Fund or any of our funds making a difference on the ground in key electoral states.

If you have specific question, let us know at and and we’ll do our best to answer it.  And thank you!
