May 30, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Hello wonderful SLRI volunteers! This “Postcards to Palm Beach” Project will help potential blue voters in the CRUCIAL swing state of Florida to “Vote By Mail” via absentee ballot. (Democrats vote when they can vote by mail.)
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: (aka what you are committing to by signing up)
- On Saturday May 30th, between noon and 5pm, you may PICK UP YOUR POSTCARD PACK at 273 Morris Ave on the East Side of Providence. (To keep everyone safe, there’s no need to ring the bell, just look for the white shelf on the porch and YOUR NAME on your assigned pack, that’s it!)
- FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED to write your 20 postcards. It should take you about 2 hours. You can also share the work with a friend. : )
- MAIL all 20 of your cards when instructed. For this round, you must mail all cards by June 15th, 2020.
- EMAIL REN to let her know you are done with your pack, and if you are ready for more, which we hope you are! Ask a friend to sign up too. : )
-Be sure to click “MAY 30th” in the calendar to the right to access the event sign up page.
-Instructions (with sample postcards images) and all materials, including postage while supplies last, will be provided with each pack.
-Be sure you have ALL your materials before you leave the porch! I can provide you with anything that may be missing before you leave. Just call me: 718-930-7714
-Suggested donation is $10 per pack. (They cost $17 each for us to put together, including two $.35 stamps.)
-You may deposit any donations or postcard stamps through the secure front door mail slot at 273 Morris Ave. (You may order your own stamps online via the USPS here: https://tinyurl.com/tygkd5a)
Thank you SO much for your participation. Now more than ever, we need strong leadership that puts PEOPLE ahead of self-interests.

At Swing Left RI, our member’s safety is our number one priority. By registering for this event, you agree to keep yourself and others involved in the project safe to the best of your ability. To that end, we ask that when you pick up your cards, you agree to: wear a face covering, keep a safe distance from others (one at a time on the porch), dispose of the postcard packaging upon your return home, and wash your hands thoroughly, despite the fact that all materials were handled with extreme care in preparation for this event. Thank you.
