Calling into Iowa: Let’s Help IA Vote Safely

Flip the West is working with a dozen local Iowan groups to help Democrats in Iowa vote safely and for Greenfield. While the current pandemic presents obstacles to canvassing door-to-door, it presents an opportunity to reach people who are at home. With the current pandemic, voting by mail is essential for ensuring voters’ rights, and for maximum – – and safe – – voter turnout.

This phone bank will be held every Monday.

What to expect: You will join others at a “Virtual Phone Bank Center” on Zoom where you will either go to a break-out room for training or get set up to start making calls right away. Real time technical support is available. After making calls, you can rejoin your fellow phone bankers, share success stories, and give us feedback.

We will be using an automatic dialer to reach as many voters as we can.

What you need for automatic (CallHub): A Mac or PC with the Chrome browser. Other choices such as Safari or Firefox, or your iPad, tablet or phone will not work. As you will be making calls from your computer, we suggest using ear buds with a microphone.
